The Hinsdale Volunteer Fire Department is still looking for new volunteers to help with both fire suppression and emergency medical services. The department encourages community people who are interested in public safety to apply and learn more about working on either side of operations. Members receive free training in all required areas, including New York State-approved courses and in-house education. Volunteers are given uniforms and participate in regular internal training, working alongside experienced firefighters and EMS personnel. Members may also qualify for perks such as a New York State volunteer tax credit, participation in the Length of Service Award Program, and access to a local gym membership.
