January 28th — The Edgartown Fire Department held a ceremony to bid farewell to the town's former fire station as it prepares to build a new one. Following speeches from the fire chief and town administrator, members of the building committee and department personnel participated in the initial phases of destruction, officially ending the structure's service to the community. The ceremony celebrated the planning and collaboration that enabled the project to move forward.

Department officials recognized the contributions of Saccoccio and Associates, Delbrook, the Select Board, and the Finance Committee to the process. Most significantly, thankfulness was expressed to local citizens and voters who supported the project during town meetings.
