On January 18, the Guilderland Fire Department reported a working trailer fire that had happened the previous evening at 2460 Western Avenue, Lot 11. Members were dispatched at 9:19 p.m. after receiving reports of significant smoke emanating from the residence. Upon arrival, workers discovered a working fire and commenced suppression efforts. The fire was brought under control and restricted to the trailer from which it originated. The Guilderland Center Fire Department, Fort Hunter Fire Department, and Rotterdam District 2 Fire Department all gave mutual aid, as did the Guilderland Police Department, Guilderland EMS, the Guilderland Investigation Team, and National Grid. The Westmere Fire Department handled station coverage.
