3-Car MVA with Entrapment Closes Route 9W in Middle Hope

MIDDLE HOPE, NY - Middle Hope FD responded to a three-vehicle, head-on MVA with entrapment at State Route 9W and Leslie Road on February 1st.
Town of Newburgh Police and EMS were on scene. Route 9W was closed between Carter Avenue and Leslie Road.
Firefighters used the “Jaws of Life” to extricate one driver from a vehicle. Town of Newburgh EMS transported two subjects to Montefiore–St. Luke’s Hospital.
Firefighters spread Speedy Dry on fluids on the roadway. New York State Police assisted with traffic. Town of Newburgh Police are investigating the cause.
