Cat Safely Rescued from Tree in Coeymans Hollow

COEYMANS HOLLOW, NY - On January 24th at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Coeymans Hollow Volunteer Fire Corp responded to assist with an animal rescue after receiving a request from the Albany County Sheriff’s Office regarding a cat stuck high in a tree. After Chief Haight arrived to evaluate the situation, more units were asked to assist with the operation. After being called in, the Ravena Fire Department set up Ladder 26-70 to reach the animal. The cat was safely rescued from the tree by a Ravena firefighter. After the cat was placed on the ground, members of the Ravena Rescue Squad helped by offering blankets and warming packs.
