According to the Wood-Ridge Fire Department's 2025 year-end activity review, there were 402 service requests made throughout the year. The department's continuous involvement in fire suppression, emergency response, and public assistance within the borough is shown in the consistent call volume throughout all months.

In addition to emergency responses, members contributed time to equipment upkeep, frequent training, and participation in community events. When taken as a whole, these initiatives contributed about 8,200 hours of volunteer work to the Wood-Ridge community in 2025. For volunteer fire companies throughout New Jersey, volunteer hours are a crucial indicator of preparedness and operational capability. The department also emphasized that it still needs additional members. Wood-Ridge Fire Department invites applications starting at age 16 and urges community members interested in volunteering to call the department at 201-939-2387 to learn more about joining the organization.
