The Wood-Ridge Fire Department responded on mutual assistance to a reported building fire at 417 3rd Street in the Borough of Carlstadt on January 17 at around 4:06 p.m. Engine 901, Rescue 903, and all three chiefs participated in the reaction. Wood-Ridge units helped the host department with fire suppression and associated fireground operations as soon as they arrived. Crews assisted in efforts to contain the situation while operating under the established incident command system. By about 5:30 p.m., all Wood-Ridge troops had been freed and returned to town after operations ended without any reported issues.
