BOSCAWEN, NH - A small fire in a garage was quickly extinguished by firefighters in Boscawen on Thursday morning, January 27th. The report of smoke coming from a garage on High Street was dispatched at 9:18 A.M., with automatic mutual aid from Concord, Webster, Salisbury and Penacook Rescue. Boscawen Chief Kenney arrived to find smoke showing from the attic area of a small 20'X40' one-story garage/shop type structure. Concord Engine 5 and Ambulance 5 arrived within minutes along with Boscawen's Engine 1. As firefighters made entry, a fire was found in the rear of the building and quickly extinguished before any major damage was sustained. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation.
