Ashaway Fire Association Blood Drive Collects Donations, Saves Lives

January 16, 2026 — The Ashaway Volunteer Fire Association announced successful results from its January blood drive held in partnership with the Rhode Island Blood Center. A total of 18 blood donations were collected, an effort that could help save up to 54 lives. Department members thanked donors and community volunteers for their continued support, emphasizing the critical need for blood supplies during the winter months. Organizers also encouraged residents to plan ahead for the next community blood drive, scheduled for Monday, April 13, continuing the department’s commitment to public health and lifesaving initiatives.
