At 6:23 pm on Wednesday, 1/28/26 the Lebanon Fire Department with Willimantic Engine 101, Windham Center Engine 103, South Windham Engine 204, Bozrah Ladder 126, Yantic Engine 33, Baltic Tanker 124, Franklin Tanker 125, Mansfield Tanker 307, Scotland Tanker 116, Mohegan Tribal FAST and a Windham Paramedic were dispatched to 464 Kick Hill Road for a house fire. Car 306 arrived at 6:27 with fire showing from the first floor Bravo side of a 2.5 story wood frame residence and established command.
Ladder 106 positioned in the driveway and stretched an 1.75” hose line through the porch area that was well involved. Engine 101 arrived next and stretched a line through the front door. Tanker 106 tied into a 5 inch supply line and nursed the ladder. Companies operated multiple interior lines while the fire spread to the second floor and attic area.
The second alarm was transmitted at 7:13, which added Columbia Engine 105, Tanker 105, Hebron Squad 210, Tanker 110, Taftville Engine 21, Colchester Truck 128 and Uconn FAST. Bozrah Tanker 126, Windham Center Tanker 103 and Chaplin Tanker 109 were also dispatched while Hose Tender 106 established a fill site at the transfer station. Command pulled all crews out of the building at 7:23 and set up the ladder pipe for defensive operations. Companies were retoned for manpower, so Franklin Engine 125 and Scotland Engine 116 responded as relief crews as the outside temperature was 10 degrees.
At 7:32, Engine 33 reported the second floor rear was lighting off so crews operated a line from the backyard. Ambulance 506 and 606 provided rehab on scene and the Lebanon Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating. Baltic Engine 224 covered Lebanon Station 6 while Hampton covered Scotland.
