At 12:44 am on Friday, 1/23/26 the Plainfield, Moosup and Central Village Fire Departments with South Killingly & Danielson FAST and Moosup Ambulance were dispatched to 41 Pratt Road for a house fire. Car 95 arrived at 12:52 with a well involved attached garage that was spreading into the home.
Engine 195 stretched an 1.75” hose line and began darkening down the fire. Ladder 194 laid in from the hydrant at the corner of Pratt and West Parkway and established the water supply. Following that, they stretched a second hose line. Engine 197 stretched a third hose line from Engine 195. Firefighters from Plainfield and Moosup cut the roof to perform vertical ventilation.
The bulk of the fire was knocked down within 20 minutes and members performed overhaul. Moosup Ambulance transported one person to the hospital. The Plainfield Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
