Winslow Township, NJ — December 31st — On Wednesday, A Platoon participated in Vent, Enter, and Search training with the Winslow Township Fire Department, located at 9 Cedar Brook Road in Sicklerville. The exercise concentrated on search techniques used when internal access may be restricted during residential building fires. Firefighters went over coordinated search methods, window entry, room isolation, and communication with outside crews. During operations, firefighter safety, air control, and upholding accountability were prioritized. Training scenarios were created to reinforce departmental protocols and mirror typical fireground conditions. Crews can stay proficient in time-sensitive search operations by participating in practical exercises like VES training. As part of the department's continuous training program to support preparedness and efficient disaster response, the session was finished without incident.
