January 17, 2026 — Yesterday afternoon at approximately 4:00 PM, the East Rutherford Fire Department was requested to provide mutual aid to the Borough of Carlstadt for a residential structure fire. ERFD Truck 1 responded and, upon arrival, operated alongside Carlstadt Fire Department crews. Truck 1 members were assigned to roof operations, where they performed ventilation to release heat and smoke, while other personnel assisted with fire extinguishment and overhaul. The coordinated efforts of on-scene companies helped bring the incident under control and prevent further extension. No additional details were released at the time of this report.
