Jan 16 — Eatontown, NJ: In Eatontown, the Wanamassa Fire Company No. 1 responded to a commercial building fire alongside mutual-aid allies. Ladder 2-90 was positioned for master stream operations and allocated to the building's delta side upon arrival. Using elevated streams to control fire conditions in the huge commercial tenancy, crews worked with five other ladder companies for around two hours. Interior crews entered the structure to hunt for any leftover hot spots once master stream activities were halted. While other units continued to operate to support overhaul and the investigation phase, Company 37-2 stayed dedicated to the incident until it was released by command several hours later.
