January 13, 2026 — The Boston Volunteer Fire Department marked the first day of its BEFO (Basic Exterior Firefighting Operations) class, bringing together firefighters for hands-on training and instruction at the department. The program is designed to strengthen foundational firefighting skills, reinforce safety practices, and prepare members for real-world emergency operations.


Department officials extended their support to all participants and highlighted the experience and dedication of the instructors leading the course, emphasizing the importance of continued training in maintaining readiness and operational excellence.
