Glendora, NJ — Jan. 4 — The Gloucester County Fire School hosted a Day of Action training session for members of the Glendora Fire Company. The tour offered the chance to assess existing academy operations and watch Firefighter I and II training. Members watched Joe Harris, a probationary firefighter, participate in practical evolutions as part of his Firefighter I and II coursework throughout the event. Harris will graduate on February 18 after completing ten more classes.

Instruction in fire suppression, ladder operations, search procedures, and firefighter safety are all part of the Firefighter I and II training. Regular academy training is crucial in preparing new firemen for operational responsibilities, according to department officers. Harris is expected to finish the program and begin working on firegrounds soon, according to the department.
