In response to a second-alarm structure fire on Taylor Avenue in Hightstown on January 26, East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 provided mutual aid. At 10:08 a.m., workers were already on storm standby when Station 42 was dispatched. Engine 42, Rescue 42, Chief 42, and Deputy 42 quickly arrived to support the Hightstown Fire Department and other companies on the site despite the severe weather conditions. As part of a coordinated multi-agency response, firefighters helped with suppression operations in difficult weather circumstances.
