During events honoring the life and service of former Hampton Fire Company Chief Robert Gibson, popularly known as Bob, on January 18, members of the Clinton Fire Department paid their respects. For many years, Chief Gibson was a respected member of the local fire service community while serving as chief of the Hampton Fire Company. In addition to his work as a firefighter, Gibson served in the US Army during World War II. He fought at the Battle of the Bulge and took part in the D-Day landings at Utah Beach. Tower Ladder 45 of the Clinton Fire Department was positioned to celebrate Gibson's dedication to his town and country by displaying the American flag with pride.
