Mountainside Crews Knock Down Rollover Vehicle Fire on Route 22

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ — March 14th — A motor vehicle collision involving a rollover with fire was reported, and units from the Mountainside Fire Department, located at 210 New Providence Road, responded to Summit Road and Route 22. Crews arrived to discover one fully engaged car. Before arriving, the person had self-extricated. Squad 3 firefighters immediately put out the fire by deploying a front bumper line and starting suppression.


After finishing the overhaul, the crews looked for potential dangers, such as fuel and battery involvement, which are frequent causes of car fires. Throughout operations, traffic control was upheld. There were no reported injuries. The incident's cause is still being looked into. After operations were over, units cleared the area.
