Mutual Aid Supports Kenilworth at South Michigan Incident

KENILWORTH, NJ — April 2nd — A reported structure fire at Crabbae on South Michigan Avenue prompted the Kenilworth, New Jersey Fire Department and Rescue Squad, located at 491 Washington Avenue, to respond. When units like Car 1, Car 4, Car 5, Engine 63, Squad 2, Truck 3, Engine 4, Rescue 2, and Rescue 3 arrived, they discovered an active fire and launched an interior assault. After swiftly putting out the majority of the fire with stretched handlines, the crews checked for expansion by ventilation and overhaul.
As part of routine activities, primary searches were carried out. There were no reported injuries. Personnel from the Kenilworth Rescue Squad monitored and rehabilitated firefighters on the site. During the crisis, mutual help organizations covered the district and provided on-site assistance. The cause of the fire is still being looked into.
