The North Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department honored departing Chief Scott Stellfox for his contributions to the department and community as 2025 draws to a conclusion. Prior to becoming Chief of Department in 2024, Chief Stellfox held the positions of Assistant Chief, Captain, and Lieutenant. In addition, he was a former captain of the Verona Rescue Squad and president of the department. In order to replace the department's 1995 Seagrave pumper, Chief Stellfox oversaw the acquisition of a new fire engine, which is anticipated to be delivered in late 2026. He also secured funding through community partnerships, including the Rotary Club of the Caldwells, for new rescue tools, fire hose, thermal imaging cameras, and other equipment.
