Wenonah, NJ — December 29 — Firefighter Andrew Meeks, who will work volunteer duty crew shifts with the Washington Township Fire Department, was sworn in by members of the Wenonah Volunteer Fire Company. Meeks will participate in a regional duty crew program, which enables firefighters from nearby jurisdictions to complete prearranged shifts away from their home departments.

Additional training opportunities, operational experience, and exposure to various response techniques are also provided by the program. Additionally, it promotes departmental communication and idea sharing while supporting everyday staffing demands. Similar initiatives are used extensively throughout the region to increase preparedness, according to department officials. Wenonah Fire Company expressed gratitude for Meeks' dedication to serving both municipalities and for the collaboration with District 10.
