Bayonne, NJ — January 25 — While city departments continued to coordinate efforts throughout Bayonne, a Winter Storm Warning was still in effect. The Bayonne Office of Emergency Management stated that in order to enable staff to clear streets and respond effectively, citizens were requested to refrain from making needless trips.

Residents were cautioned by officials not to shove or toss snow back into roads since doing so slows down plowing operations and increases risks. Employees from the Bayonne Department of Public Works and the Bayonne Police Department continued to actively monitor road conditions and assist with snow removal. During the hurricane, city officials also urged citizens to check on their neighbors and other vulnerable members of the community. Public cooperation, according to officials, supports ongoing emergency activities during the weather event and helps maintain safe roads.
