January 2, 2026 — The Hammonton Fire Department reflected on a demanding and productive year after responding to more than 600 emergency calls in 2025, demonstrating the vital role it plays in protecting the community. In addition to emergency responses, the all-volunteer department participated in more than 25 community events, conducted a full week of fire prevention visits, and logged countless hours of training and mandatory re-certification. Firefighters meet every Wednesday evening at the firehouse for required drills, work details, and departmental meetings, ensuring readiness for any situation. Town officials and residents expressed appreciation for the dedication and service of Hammonton Fire Company No. 1 and Hammonton Independent Volunteer Fire Company No. 2, whose members continue to serve with professionalism and commitment.
