The City of Hackensack Fire Department finished the year on December 31, 2025, having responded to several emergencies throughout the city and its environs. Crews worked on a motor vehicle extrication on Main Street, reacted on mutual aid into Bogota, and put out a car fire along Route 80. into the day, firemen responded to a large number of additional service requests in addition to these occurrences, demonstrating a consistent operational pace into the last hours of the year. Department units worked in tandem with members of Hackensack Fire Officers IAFF Local 3172 and Hackensack Fire Fighters IAFF Local 2081 to effectively and safely handle the occurrences.
