The City of Hackensack Fire Department stated that workers have been clearing snow from fire hydrants all around the city in response to the recent winter weather. In order to provide dependable access to the water system during crises, firefighters have been opening and excavating hydrants for the past few days, according to fire officials. In order to help, residents and property owners are encouraged to shovel and maintain the area around hydrants close to their houses or buildings clear. Firefighters can swiftly connect supply lines and prevent delays during fire operations when there is clear access.
