To assist safeguard the City of Garfield, Garfield Fire Company #5 is looking for committed people of the community to join its volunteer ranks. Junior firefighters (ages 16 to 18) and regular members (ages 18 and up) are welcome to join the department. It doesn't require any prior experience. Members may qualify for LOSAP and stipend programs, and all training is offered. Volunteering provides the chance to gain useful skills, collaborate with others, and truly impact the community. When assistance is most required, members assist their neighbors, respond to emergencies, and support public safety initiatives.
