Bayville, NJ — January 1 — After another year of active emergency service, the Bayville Volunteer Fire Department came to an end in 2025. Over 600 service requests were handled by the department during the year, including several Priority 1 occurrences that needed to be handled right away. Responses included drone missions, motor vehicle wrecks, wildfires, fire suppression, rescue operations, marine responses, and mutual aid assignments. High levels of preparedness, coordination, and training were needed for each incident. In order to maintain response capabilities, members spent a lot of time on exercises, equipment maintenance, and operational planning in addition to emergency calls. The dedication of volunteers, support from their families, and help from mutual aid partners and town officials were recognized by department leadership. The Bayville Volunteer Fire Department is still committed to being ready, working together, and providing ongoing support to the Bayville community when 2026 gets underway.
