PITTSGROVE TWP., NJ - On January 1st, in the Holly Tree Acres neighborhood of Pittsgrove Township, the Norma-Alliance Volunteer Fire Rescue and mutual aid partners responded to a reported structure fire with numerous exposures on Applewood Lane. Captain 24 took charge when first-due units verified that the fire was operational.

There were assignments for engines, tenders, ladders, rescues, and a fast intervention crew. While tanker operations supported the water supply, firefighters used both 2½-inch and 1¾-inch handlines. While EMS and fire police assisted with operations, crews covered adjacent exposures and searched for extensions.

At 12:29 P.M., the fire was contained. Units were released, and no firefighter injuries were reported. The Salem County Fire Police and the New Jersey State Police are investigating the fire.
