RICHMOND, NY - Around 6:00 p.m., January 20, Honeoye and Bristol fire departments responded to a house fire at 5109 Pinewood Hill Road in the town of Richmond.

Firefighters arrived on location and found a working fire in a residential structure that was unoccupied and undergoing renovations.

Mutual aid was requested to the scene from Naples, Cheshire, Livonia (FAST) and Livonia EMS (Rehab Unit), and the Ontario County mobile air unit (Truck 35).

Firefighting efforts were hampered by multiple layers of roofing material under a metal roof, as well as air temperatures in the single digits.

East Bloomfield firefighters provided a stand-by at the Honeoye fire station.

Officials from Ontario County Emergency Management were investigating the cause.

No injuries were reported.
