NEWBURGH, NY - On the morning of January 19th, Winona Lake firefighters were alerted for smoke in the building across the street from their firehouse. Two minutes later, a second alarm was called which sent the Newburgh FAST, Vails Gate ladder truck Good Will, Cronomer Valley, and Orange Lake Engine Company with an engine to the scene. One person was taken by Town of Newburgh EMS to the hospital. Town of Newburgh police shut off the road for two hours during the incident.
