Alloway Township, NJ — December 31 — Operating out of 17 E. Main Street, the Alloway Township Fire Company responded to a second-alarm barn fire on Remsterville Road alongside mutual aid colleagues. When firefighters arrived, they discovered a working fire involving a barn structure and started putting it out. Operating hose lines and providing exposure protection, several businesses were deployed to the disaster. After the fire was contained, workers finished the overhaul to deal with any hot spots that remained. During procedures, no injuries were recorded. The route was restored to traffic following the conclusion of fireground operations and scene safety inspections. The event demonstrated how important it is to coordinate mutual aid during large-scale responses in order to guarantee sufficient staffing, ongoing operations, and coverage for nearby areas.
