December 29, 2025 — The South Hero Volunteer Fire Department is urging motorists to use caution as a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect across the region. With temperatures expected to fall into the 20s overnight, officials warn that wet and previously treated roadways may refreeze, creating hazardous driving conditions. Drivers are advised to slow down, allow extra stopping distance, and remain alert for icy patches, especially during the overnight and early morning hours.
