Grand Isle Fire Honors Grand Isle / North Hero Rescue with Dave Cameron Award

January 19, 2026 The Grand Isle Volunteer Fire Department held its annual dinner Monday evening, bringing together firefighters, auxiliary members, and their partners for an evening of fellowship away from the firehouse and off the fireground. During the event, the department presented its annual Dave Cameron Award, which recognizes individuals or organizations with a long-standing commitment to supporting Grand Isle Fire and its mission. This year’s award was presented to Grand Isle / North Hero Rescue in recognition of their many years of close collaboration on emergency scenes, joint training efforts, and continued mutual support across a wide range of calls. Fire officials thanked Ray, Patti, and Patrick of Grand Isle / North Hero Rescue for attending the dinner and accepting the award, noting the strong partnership between the departments and expressing appreciation for their ongoing dedication.
