Firefighters Bobby Jones and Ethan Lex were honored by Rio Grande Fire Company on December 21st for finishing the Firefighter I program at the Cape May County Fire Academy, which requires more than 200 hours of training. The Firefighter I curriculum gives entry-level firefighters the fundamental training in safety protocols, teamwork, and fireground operations needed to fight inside structural fires. A firefighter's training and service dedication reach a significant turning point when they successfully complete the program.
