Retired Chief Dan Speigel Receives National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Distinguished Service Award

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation has chosen retired chief Dan Speigel to receive this year's Arthur J. Glatfelter Distinguished Service Award. The City of Wildwood Fire Department congratulates him on his selection. The award is named for Arthur J. Glatfelter, who founded Volunteer Fireman's Insurance Services (VFIS), the first organization devoted to providing insurance for volunteer firemen, and was a longtime supporter of the fire service. It is regarded as one of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation's most esteemed awards.
