Multiple Agencies Operate at Franklin Township Truck Fire

Franklin Park, NJ — January 16 — A reported truck fire at South Middlebush Road and Route 27 prompted the Franklin Park Volunteer Fire Company-Station 31, located at 2 Claremont Road, to react alongside Franklin Fire District 2 and the Franklin Township Bureau of Fire Prevention.


Deputy Chief 31 took leadership as Car 31-2 arrived first. With a crew of six, Engine 31 responded and used a 1½-inch hose line to contain the fire. Traffic control was handled by units from the South Brunswick Police Department and the Franklin Township Police Department. Environmental conditions were observed by the Somerset County HazMat Team. Utility 31, Engine 35, fire safety staff, and NJDOT were additional units.
