Franklin Park, NJ — January 15 — A reported motor vehicle fire involving a sewage truck prompted the Griggstown Fire Company's Station 35, situated at 1037 Canal Road in Princeton, to react on a mutual-aid assignment into Franklin Park. The collision happened at the intersection of South Middlebush Road and State Highway 27.
Engine 35 was sent to support the units that were already working there. After arriving, personnel assisted Franklin Fire District companies with suppression operations while integrating into the incident command system. Firefighters prioritized scene safety, danger mitigation, and fire control. While lanes of travel were affected, police units helped with traffic control. To support operations and keep an eye on situations, other authorities reacted. Before being put back into action, Engine 35 stayed on the scene until the fire was contained and operations were finished.
