Finderne Fire Marks Busy Year With 442 Total Responses

Bridgewater, NJ — January 2 — The Finderne Fire Department, located in Bridgewater at 672 E. Main Street, published its operational overview for 2025. During the year, the department handled 442 service requests, including 58 mutual-aid answers and 384 first-due assignments.


229 activated alarms, 49 auto accidents, vehicle fires, extrications, and 25 smoke situations were among the first-due incidents. In addition, crews responded to hazardous materials accidents, water rescues, structure fires, brush and trash fires, natural gas emergencies, and several other calls. In 2025, members contributed 7,784 hours of their time to meetings, job details, emergency responses, and training. Volunteers' ongoing dedication to preserving preparedness and service for the Bridgewater community was acknowledged by department authorities.
