Emergency Services Respond to High Call Volume During Storm

Andover, New Hampshire — 28th December — Because of the storm, Andover, NH emergency services had to deal with a large number of weather-related calls during the day and nighttime. Numerous trees were reported down throughout the town, many of which had an impact on power lines and roads, resulting in extensive outages and damaged electrical infrastructure.


A. As new reports came in from multiple neighborhoods, dispatchers managed a consistent flow of 911 calls. In order to fix damaged lines and assist with restoration operations, crews collaborated with utility companies. Employees of the Highway Department worked through the night to improve road conditions and remove debris. Officials reminded residents that response times may be extended due to conditions and thanked the community for patience as operations continue.
