Plaistow, NH — 3rd January — Plaistow Engine 1 was sent on a mutual aid assignment to the Town of Kingston for a working structure fire, according to Friends of Plaistow Fire-Rescue-EMS, which operates out of 27 Elm St. in Plaistow, New Hampshire. The action was taken in accordance with established regional standards for mutual help.

While efforts continued under the direction of the Kingston Fire Department, Engine 1 responded to offer additional suppression support and personnel. While assisting nearby agencies during protracted disasters, mutual assistance actions enable departments to continue providing coverage in their home communities. Firefighters in Plaistow followed conventional incident management protocols. The response is an example of how local departments continue to work together to provide efficient and safe fireground operations across the region.
