Newton Engine 2 Responds on Mutual Aid to Kingston Fire

Newton, NH — 4th January — Engine 2 was sent on a mutual aid assignment by the Newton, New Hampshire Fire Department to a reported structure fire in Kingston. The Kingston Fire Department was in charge of the ongoing activities at the scene when the response was requested.


As part of the established regional mutual aid system, Engine 2 responded to offer more personnel and suppression help. During working emergencies, mutual assistance responses enable neighboring departments to support prolonged fireground operations, maintain coverage in their home communities, and pool resources. Newton When responding, firefighters followed conventional incident management and mutual assistance protocols. The assignment is an example of how local fire departments continue to work together to facilitate efficient fire suppression and uphold public safety across jurisdictional borders.
