Newton, NH — 15th December — An early-morning car accident near the intersection of Whittier Street and Highland Street prompted the Newton NH Fire Department in New Hampshire to react. The Kingston Fire Department provided mutual aid assistance throughout the reaction.

When firefighters arrived, they evaluated the situation and determined that one person was trapped inside a car. In order to safely remove the individual while preserving scene and responder safety, firefighters started extrication operations. Following extrication, the subject received medical attention and was taken to Lawrence General Hospital by Newton Fire for additional assessment. While emergency actions were in progress, traffic control measures were put in place. The event demonstrates the regular collaboration across nearby agencies to handle traffic accidents and deliver prompt patient care in the early morning.
