Hampton, NH — 2nd January — A report of a person stranded in the marsh prompted Hampton Fire/Rescue, based at 140 Winnacunnet Road in Hampton, New Hampshire, to react to Hampton Harbour State Pier. Utility 1/Marine 2 and Engine 6 were sent to the waterfront site to look into the report and offer support.

After arriving, crews evaluated the marsh's conditions and arranged access utilizing both land-based and maritime resources. In order to reach the people and safely lead them out of the marsh region, firefighters worked systematically. According to a department update, the individuals were safely helped to shore and did not need medical attention. All of the Hampton Fire and Rescue departments left the area when the issue was resolved. The response demonstrates the department's capacity to handle frequent coastal incidents in the harbor region.
