Hampton, NH — 19th December — After being temporarily closed due to a fire in North Hampton, Route 1 near the town boundary has been reopened. As part of a coordinated mutual assistance assignment, Hampton Fire/Rescue, based at 140 Winnacunnet Road in Hampton, New Hampshire, responded.

Engine 5 was sent to the area to help North Hampton Fire & Rescue personnel. While emergency activities were in progress, the road closure aided traffic control and enabled fire units to operate safely. During the incident, drivers were encouraged to stay away from the area and take other routes. Route 1 was restored to traffic after fire operations were finished and it was decided that the situation was safe. In order to preserve road safety and assist local emergency operations, the reaction emphasizes continued collaboration between adjacent departments.
