Hampton, NH — 17th December — Hampton Fire/Rescue, situated at 140 Winnacunnet Road in Hampton, New Hampshire, is encouraging locals to use portable heaters carefully as the winter months draw near. Although incorrect usage of space heaters continues to be a common cause of residential fires during the winter, they can offer additional warmth.

Officials in charge of fire prevention emphasize how crucial it is to keep heaters away from flammable materials and to use only well-maintained, approved equipment. Heating equipment is a major cause of house fires in cold weather, according to National Fire Protection Association national fire prevention guidelines. When using heaters, Hampton Fire/Rescue advises residents to stay vigilant and adhere to manufacturer directions.
