Durham Fire Marks Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

DURHAM, NH — Jan. 9 — The Durham NH Fire Department honored police officers who serve and defend the community on National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Law enforcement contributes significantly to emergency response by helping with scene safety, traffic management, investigations, and coordination during incidents, according to department officials. Effective and secure operations for responders and the general public are made possible by strong collaboration between police, fire, and EMS.


When an emergency arises, law enforcement personnel are frequently among the first to arrive and continue to be involved through incident stabilization and follow-up. The department underlined that interagency cooperation and communication are critical to public safety. The Durham Fire Department expressed gratitude to all law enforcement personnel for their unwavering devotion, professionalism, and year-round commitment to serving the community.
