DURHAM, NH — Dec. 22 — The Oyster River Chorus was invited to the Durham, New Hampshire Fire Department's fire station for a Christmas performance that honored fire and emergency medical personnel. During a busy holiday season, the chorus gave on-duty responders a quick respite by performing Christmas and seasonal carols at the station. Before resuming their duties, firefighters and EMS workers took a moment to listen.

Community support is valued, according to department officials, particularly when crews are on duty and away from their families. The relationship between responders and the residents they serve is strengthened by visits such as this one. The Oyster River Chorus was praised by the Durham Fire Department for their efforts and for honoring first responders throughout the holiday season.
