Plainfield Provides Mutual Aid on Dartmouth College Highway

MERIDEN, NH — Dec. 31 —The Plainfield, New Hampshire Volunteer Fire Department responded to an incident at 193 Dartmouth College Highway while on a mutual aid assignment in Lebanon.


As part of the Upper Valley mutual aid system, which is utilized to provide sufficient personnel and coverage during active crises, Plainfield units were asked to help. Crews worked alongside members of the Lebanon Fire Department and other emergency services. Responses to mutual help are widespread in the area and enable departments to pool resources while preserving community safety. Firefighters from Plainfield stayed on the site until they were no longer required.
