Single-Vehicle Crash on Route 16 Prompts Response from Hardwick Fire

On December 28, 2025, at approximately 4:13 p.m., the Hardwick Fire Department was dispatched to a single motor vehicle accident on Route 16 in East Hardwick. Engine 1 responded with nine members to the scene, where crews assisted with scene safety and coordination while slick and icy road conditions were present. All personnel and equipment were clear and returning to quarters in about one hour. Officials reminded motorists to use caution, as icy conditions were expected to continue into the following day.
